Manchester United confirm £16million move for sporting lisbon’s defender Marcos Rojo

Manchester united announced the signing of sporting Lisbon’s defender Marcos Rojo for a fee of  £16million.

Marcos Rojo who touched down at Manchester on Tuesday, said ‘joining united feels like a dream come true’,  the Argentine defender signed a 5 year deal for United after passing a medical for the club.

This signing comes due to  Manchester United shaking backline, manager Louis Van Gaal would be looking to address some of the clubs defensive problems with the signing of this player.

The deal also saw Manchester United player Nani leave to his old club on a season long loan, Nani who has been deemed surplus to requirements at old trafford was used as a part of the deal to lure the defender to Old trafford.
